Most power stations live in garages and only come out during blackouts. The PowerMax 3600 was built for job sites, remote cabins, and disaster zones where dust, rain, and the occasional waist-high drop are part of the job description. OSCAL took the durability DNA from its rugged phone lineup and ported it into a power station. The result is the world's first power station rated for 0.8-meter drop resistance, splash-proofing, and dust-proofing, wrapped in a UL94V-0 flame-retardant enclosure.
3600Wh Base, Expandable to 57.6kWh
The base 3600Wh LiFePO4 battery is rated for 3,500+ cycles to 80% capacity. Add up to fifteen BP3600 expansion packs and the system scales to 57,600Wh. At 2 kWh per day of household consumption, that is roughly 30 days of backup. The expandability is modular: stack packs as needed, no reconfiguration required.
LiFePO4 chemistry means no cobalt, no thermal runaway, and a lifespan measured in decades. With daily cycling, the battery outlasts the appliances it powers.
3600W Output, 14 Ports
Four AC outlets deliver 3600W of pure sine wave power with 7200W surge capacity. Dual 100W USB-C PD ports handle laptops and fast-charging phones. Three 18W USB-A ports plus one 12W, dual DC5521 outputs, an Anderson connector, and a 12V car outlet bring the total to 14. That covers a refrigerator, a freezer, a microwave, power tools, and everyone's devices simultaneously.
The EU version runs 3600W. The US/JP version operates at 3000W. Both handle inductive loads without tripping.
5-8ms UPS: 50% Faster Than Competitors
When the grid drops, the PowerMax 3600 switches to battery in 5 to 8 milliseconds. Most competing units take 20ms, long enough for a desktop computer to reboot. At this speed, CPAP machines, servers, and workstations stay running without interruption. The advanced TI chip inside delivers 10% faster button response than devices using Etron chips, and the constant-temperature cooling system with four 38mm smart fans drops internal temperatures by up to 40°C.
Charging: Full in 1.2 Hours
The 3600W maximum input (2200W AC + solar) charges the battery from empty to full in approximately 1.2 hours. Solar input maxes at 1600W. Car charging runs at 120W. The unit supports seven charging methods total: AC wall, solar, car, EV charging station, lead-acid battery, gas generator, and dual AC + solar.
Rugged By Design, Not By Marketing
| Certification | Spec |
|---|---|
| --------------- | ------ |
| Drop resistance | 0.8m vertical |
| Enclosure | Splash-proof + dust-proof |
| UV resistance | Anti-UV rated |
| Fire safety | UL94V-0 flame-retardant |
| Operating temperature | -20°C to 55°C |
The PC+ABS enclosure uses a 7:3 material ratio tested through professional assessments. It handles rain, construction dust, desert sun, and unheated garages in winter. At 44.45 kg, the unit has wheels and a portable handle for single-person movement across flat surfaces.
Five LED Modes Including Morse Code
The integrated LED panel covers five modes: dim, bright, flashing, breathing, and SOS. The sixth mode, Morse code signaling, lets you send light signals — genuinely useful for night rescues, marine emergencies, or communicating across a dark campsite when radio is down.
Smart Control Without the Subscription
WiFi and Bluetooth connect to OSCAL's companion app for real-time monitoring, output toggling, and energy tracking. The on-unit LCD and physical buttons remain fully functional offline, so you are not locked out if connectivity drops.

The PowerMax 3600 is the original rugged model with the TI chip advantage. The 3600 SE refines the formula with upgraded firmware and a 1000-nit LCD but drops the TI chip. Both are full-featured; the choice comes down to whether faster onboard processing matters more than display brightness.
Who It Is For
The PowerMax 3600 on the OSCAL Store is built for situations where failure is not an option. Construction sites, disaster response, remote research stations, off-grid cabins. If your power station lives in a controlled environment, the PowerMax 3600 SE offers the same capacity in a slightly less armored package. If you need dual-voltage 120V/240V split-phase for whole-home backup, the PowerMax 6000 is the step up.
The Morse code LED sounds like a gimmick until you are the one signaling across a valley at midnight. OSCAL built this for the person who understands exactly when that feature stops being optional.
