OSCAL PILOT 8 Lands on OZON: Qualcomm QCM6690 Power Meets Rugged 6.83-Inch AMOLED

OSCAL PILOT 8

OSCAL has launched the PILOT 8 on OZON, marking the first rugged phone in the industry to ship with Qualcomm's QCM6690 enterprise-grade platform. This is not a consumer chip repackaged in a thicker case. The QCM6690 was designed for industrial handhelds, barcode scanners, and field data terminals. Putting it in a rugged phone that also handles 108MP photography and 2000-nit AMOLED viewing is a deliberate statement.

Qualcomm QCM6690: Built for the Field, Not the Bench

OSCAL's internal testing puts the QCM6690 at roughly 2.7× the overall performance of MediaTek's Helio G100, with CPU gains of 3.4× and GPU gains of 3.1×. Those numbers matter less than what they enable: multi-app workflows with blueprints and spreadsheets open simultaneously, navigation that holds lock on rough routes without drifting, and large file transfers after a drone flight that do not stall mid-progress.

Memory configuration is 12GB physical with 36GB of expansion, totaling 48GB. Internal storage supports up to 2TB via TF card. Apps stay resident in RAM, and offline maps and video archives live on the expansion card without management overhead.

6.83-Inch AMOLED at 2000 Nits

The display is the spec that changes how the phone is used outdoors. At 2000 nits peak brightness on a 120Hz AMOLED panel, maps and documents stay readable under direct sunlight. Dual-frequency GPS, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and eSIM support round out the connectivity stack. The industry has been putting Wi-Fi 6 in rugged phones while the rest of the world moved on. PILOT 8 skips straight to 7.

108MP Main, 50MP Front, 20MP Infrared Night Vision

The camera system is a three-sensor array. The 108MP main sensor captures inspection-grade detail. The 50MP front camera handles video calls and site documentation. The 20MP infrared night vision camera reveals what darkness hides — campsite perimeters, trail hazards, and equipment conditions after sunset. It is the sensor that matters most when the job does not end at dusk.

Battery and Charging

The 10,000mAh cell supports 55W fast charging and 4.5W OTG reverse charging. The 98dB speaker is loud enough for a construction site or a windy ridge line. Power through a full shift, top up quickly during a break, and use the phone as an emergency battery for a headlamp or earbuds when needed.

Mecha Design with Responsive Lighting

The black mecha-inspired body carries IP68, IP69K, and MIL-STD-810H certifications. CSG KK9 scratch-resistant glass protects the display. Glove Mode handles thick work gloves. A customizable side button provides one-touch access to the tool of choice.

On the back, an LED lighting array responds to calls, notifications, power-on, and charging states. It is functional rather than decorative — you can see an incoming call from across a dark room or campsite without picking up the phone.

DokeOS 5.0 and Hi Doki AI

Running DokeOS 5.0 on Android 16, the PILOT 8 includes Hi Doki AI for voice-activated assistance, real-time translation, and document scanning. The software layer optimizes for the QCM6690's multi-threaded capabilities, keeping the interface responsive even with multiple productivity apps open.

Who It Is For

The PILOT 8 on the OSCAL Store targets field engineers, construction supervisors, drone operators, and outdoor professionals who need a phone that runs enterprise applications during the day, navigates accurately off-grid, and sees in the dark at night. It is not a phone for casual users who want a rugged case around a mid-range chip. It is purpose-built for people whose phone failing means a project delay, a lost route, or a missed safety check.
